Film Classes at The Barnyard

Arts to Literacy and The Other Side teamed up over the summer to offer filmmaking classes at The Barnyard.

Coconut Grove Cares filmmaking students Michelle Ballard, Demetrius Cobbs, Richard Cook, Howard Homer and Chris James along with Junior Counselors Shaun Harper and Alexis White were honored as mini-Oscar winners by Arts to Literacy and The Other Side at Miami’s City Hall. Sylvia Jordan, Coconut Grove Cares, Executive Director, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Best Child Advocate from Arts to Literacy founders Joseph C. Grant, Jr. and Mary McBeth.
